WTF, why does my Firefox spell checker now think that "ti" is a word?ΒΉ And so it doesn't put a red squiggle under it? I am a very good speller, but only a so-so typist; I know how to spell most words, but I make transposition typos pretty much every sentence. So I cast my eyes over the text entry field looking for red squiggles before I hit "Post". How do I take a word *out* of Firefox's dictionary? Argh. 1. Oh, it thinks re , mi, fa, etc. are too. Crap.
Well, it looks like I've got all the stuff I need to do some writing. All my ancillary scripts and whatnot are working, I'm back in touch with my Git repo, all that jazz. But I seem to have totally used up my brain power for today. (Last night's awful sleep didn't help.) So I think I'm gonna skip writing tonight, and just veg with some kind of video or something.
Okay, I probably can't have the behavior I want, but it can't hurt to ask, right? What I want: Pressing Super+2 goes to the first-opened window of the application that's 2nd in the task bar. Pressing Super+2, holding Super and tapping 2 a second time goes to the second-opened of those windows, without activating the first. (Etc. for Super+N for any of the first 9 items on the task bar.) 1/3 #Linux LinuxMint #LinuxHelp
I have an emoji picker now! πŸ₯³πŸŽ†πŸΎπŸŽ‰ Oh frabjous day! 😁😎 Making progress.
Okay, I looked in the Software Manager, found Emoji Mart, installed it. Set up a custom shortcut to invoke it (yay, learning!). Now it pops up when I want, and I can pick an emoji... ...and then nothing happens. How do I *insert* that emoji into what I'm writing? Has anyone else had that problem? #LinuxHelp #EmojiMart
Wow, those were some *fucking awful* dreams. 😫 Also, dry throat. Ugh. I feel like hammered shit. But I've got my nice, warm robe wrapped around me and some comfy tea brewing, so maybe I can face the day.
Welp, if nothing else, at least now Windows is out of my life for fucking good. I never have to worry about it forcing an update-and-reboot on me ever again. Good fucking riddance. And good night, Fedi. I'm *finally* going to sleep (instead of just tooting about how much I should go to sleep). πŸ›ŒπŸ˜΄
Oops, part of why I've got so much free space is that I haven't copied over tons of my files yet. 🀦🏻 Like music, development codebases, etc. OTOH, by my calculations, if I do so, it'll still only take me from 13% full to about 25% full. Whereas on Windows, I was ranging from 95% to "you have only a couple hundred megabytes free", depending on how recently I'd restarted Firefox. So this should still be nice and roomy. Tomorrow. I need to sleep and deal with this tomorrow!
