OMG, fuck, fuck, fucking fuckety fuck. I think I've figured out what I forgot to back up. My SSH keys for my remote server. They were all stored in my PuTTY configuration. 😰🤦 I may have just locked myself out of my own server. I only log in there something like once every 2-3 months or so, so I forgot that in my list of "things I do on my computer a lot". That's something to figure out later. Dammit. Fuck.
Okay. An hour spent writing, and not much word count, but I got some assistive files cleaned up a bunch. Now I guess it's time to destroy Windows and migrate to Linux. Yikes. Here goes. Leeroy Jenkins. Geronimo. The end of a (very long) era. Hope all of youse hear from me again soon.
Anyway, I'm putting some Irish Coffee into my mouth, in the hopes that caffeine will spur me to heights of productivity (while a little bit of whiskey loosens me up to write freely, and also keeps me from getting *too* wired). 🤞🏻   🇮🇪☕
Okay, if I can just get an hour of writing done tonight, then maybe I can go ahead and start that Linux migration... (Right? That'd give me *at least* 3 hours to get my system back into shape after writing and before I should get to bed... right?) Let's see what happens.
I somehow managed to break my glasses frames in the middle of the night. Like, while they were draped over my bedframe (which is where I store them when I'm sleeping, for reasons that make sense if you see the situation but are irrelevant here). Anyway. Really glad I ordered the replacement/new glasses on Saturday. And I can probably fix these with superglue for the intervening weeks until the new ones arrive. But still... *how* did I manage to do that? 😕
There's such a tiny sliver of New Moon above the western horizon in the fading light! I'm glad I was here to see it, rather than out running errands. 🌚 (I mean, I still need to run at least 1 or 2. But I'm so glad to have seen this.) #NewMoon #Moon #solstice #Pagan #Neopagan #Midwinter
Ooooh, wifi passwords! That's another thing I need to remember to back up before I nuke Windows and install #Linux! Glad I thought of that.
