how attached are we, collectively, to the butterfly? RE: View quoted note β†’
I've been playing around with running a non-archival relay and was always surprised at just how many events were being emitted after connecting to one of the mushroom PDSes, but everything was otherwise working so I don't think too much of it (1/n)
here's a plain text list of all active PDSes on the atproto network: [atproto.edavis.dev/pds.txt](πŸ“ƒ.txt ) all credit to @maryπŸ‡ for putting together the atproto-scraping repo, this just lightly processes that data the plan is to update this file once a day
gonna finally learn how to use jq or die trying
picking the self-hosted relay project back up last I left it, it was chugging along with a couple dozen self-hosted PDSes today a PR got merged that introduced a non-archival mode to bigsky: [github.com/bluesky-soci...]( ) can already tell this is going to make self-hosted relays much easier to run
Fermi's Paradox but for how a 100m DAU platform can have negative cultural cachet RE:
man, would be really cool to see this booted back up on top of atproto (reader this is called foreshadowing) [Specifying Spring '83]( )
I tossed a bunch of items into my todo manager (2do) via the quick entry shortcut but apparently because the main app wasn't running and a helper service wasn't running, it just... didn't store any of them never gave me any indication! just took what I typed and threw it away not great!
