If you're pondering why the "vocal minority" is so loud, it might be because it's actually the "vocal group I've never had to listen to or be exposed to before". Thanks to a relatively algorithm-free network, everyone has a decent shot at equal reach and equal volume. And - unlike most alternatives - the Fediverse allows these voices to be heard.
