I tried watching “Mad Men” for the first time last night. I shied away from it when it originally aired since I worked in the ad world for many years, and that industry left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Whelp, the sexism, misogyny, SA overtones, and overwhelming cigarette smoke — even if historically correct — in S01E01 alone elicited a quick “Nah, fam” from me.
