Not to be a knob, but why hasn't there been a distributed voting system yet? There are plenty of KYC platforms that could contribute to this. Verify citizenship, receive voting badge (nft/inscription of single use). Send it to your candidate. Secured abd Backed by global proof of work, and auditable by nodes. Voter fraud has a path to elimination. Could this be done as a lower layer?
