One perk of running your own instance on your phone with #Holos, you control your custom emojis. The relay can offer some, but you're free to use your own. Import them from other instances or upload your own. When composing, you can filter and search through them easily.

#Holos app is getting really close to its beta release. You can now quote posts, create polls, and attach media with alt text descriptions. Opening a conversation shows you the full thread with all replies. Delete requests between servers are working properly, along with all other ActivityPub communications. The federation layer is solid - posts, likes, boosts, follows all sync correctly with remote instances like Mastodon.

#Holos is progressing nicely. The mobile app now receives all notifications from the Fediverse, follows and unfollows work properly, and you can compose posts. The menu gives access to lists, bookmarks, filters and followed tags. Display settings offer different view modes depending on what you want to browse, all from a single account. is now up and running! Source code will be public very soon (link shows 404, repo still private). Registrations will follow shortly after. Site available in English and French only for now. For self-hosters, you'll have three options: an all-in-one install script (auto-detects OS, configures everything), Docker, or full step-by-step manual setup. All options are fully documented.

We'll run a flagship relay at holos.social. By default, it keeps your profile visible when you're offline and stores incoming activities for up to 7 days so you don't miss anything. If you want maximum privacy, you'll be able to disable both features. The relay will only provide your stable @username@holos.social - no profile caching, no activity storage. Your phone becomes the only place where your data exists. You'll be able to toggle this in your app settings anytime.

For those who will choose to run their own relay server with #Holos, you will have proper tools to manage it. Real-time monitoring with live metrics and graphs. Handle moderation reports from other instances with a full queue system. Block domains, manage your team, control registrations, and moderate users when needed. Run it for yourself, your family and friends, or open it to everyone - you stay in control.
