I dont think its an accident that pretty much all the new appviews we start to see on atproto are less about communications and more about sharing public data in some structure, whether that is book reviews, recipes, linktree clones or pastebin clones

This week's news for Bluesky and the ATmosphere
- A lack of action from mods about well-known anti-trans writer joining Bluesky leads to community uproar
- More information about Bluesky's upcoming subscription service
- Multiple new atproto apps have launched
[fediversereport.com/last-week-in...](
fediverse news that is relevant for atproto:
video platform PeerTube had to put a server allowlist on their ios/android apps, the app stores will not accept streaming apps that have open federation
Important for atproto video apps to also keep in mind, the same ruling might also apply

New: Why is Meta adding fediverse interoperability to Threads?
Threads' recent update allows for a 2-way connection with the fediverse (caveats apply).
But one simple question has bugging me: Why? Why is Meta adding interoperability to their platform?
[fediversereport.com/why-is-meta-...](
its funny how every other microblogging platform (Threads, Farcaster, Mastodon) is rushing to copy Bluesky and add Starter Packs while Bluesky is slowly coming to the realisation that Starter Packs might be bad actually

as a side note: I think people dont appreciate enough how incredible quickly good/valuable posts spread through a community
So if you block all followers of someone, there is not actually a real risk of missing 'valuable content'. Good content gets copied and spread immediately anyway
