“Rental Family,” director Hikari’s moving comedy about an American expat (Brendan Fraser) in Japan who takes a job where he plays roles not on a stage or a screen but in people’s lives. Philip, the expat, portrays a fish-out-of-water finding his way through a culture he doesn’t really understand.
