Lucasfilm and the Walt Disney Company have settled their legal case with actress Gina Carano, who was fired from "The Mandalorian" after sharing social media posts including one that compared being a Republican to being Jewish during the Holocaust. Carano sued the company last year — funded by Elon Musk — asking for at least $75,000 in punitive damages, and saying that Lucasfilm should be forced to cast her again. Lucasfilm released a statement praising Carano's hard work and pleasant attitude, and saying, "With this lawsuit concluded, we look forward to identifying opportunities to work together with Ms. Carano in the near future."
