Aussie shopping app Cashrewards announces immediate shutdown After more than ten years in business, Australian cashback service Cashrewards has suddenly pulled the plug, notifying members that its platform would cease operations from 12pm today (AEST). In a message sent to users and published on its website, the company said its offers were no longer accessible via the Cashrewards app, browser extension or website. Customers have been given a detailed schedule to complete outstanding transactions and retrieve their cashback. β€œRecent transactions will continue to track and be approved or declined in the next three days. All transactions that are pending as at Thursday, 11 September 2025 will be approved and then you will be able to withdraw your cashback,” the statement read. CEO Anthony Seymour-Walsh also provided news.com.au with a statement on the company’s sudden shutdown. β€œAfter 11 years serving over 2.5 million members and 2,000 brands, Cashrewards is closing.
