I understand that she has since clarified her position on this. She's just saying the DOJ will enforce existing law against inciting violence. That's good. But, in my view, the phrase "hate speech" itself just has to go. It's not a valid concept in law, IMHO. image View quoted note →

Since I posted this nearly 24 hours ago, I have a few thousand new followers. Thank you! Many comments on the post are along the lines of “this is the only sane thing I have seen coming from the left about this.” The thing is, I genuinely think the vast majority of Americans abhor political violence. Most liberals I have spoken with completely agree that what happened was morally wrong and bad for the political health of our society. But many conservatives understandably do not know that, because most media outlets in this country largely platform a chattering class of complete weirdos. This happens over and over again. The vast majority of Americans also do not want men in women’s sports or intimate spaces, either, including 67 percent of Democrats and 64 percent of Independents (many of whom used to be Democrats until the Democratic Party lost its mind over “gender identity” (among other topics)). I have been trying for ten years to break into the mainstream media to present the leftist arguments against “trans” ideology and “gender identity.” The truth is that there are a ton of leftists all over the country who agree that men do not belong in women’s sports or spaces. I hear from them all the time. The media steadfastly refuses to platform us. The problem isn’t “the left,” per se. The problem is the establishment left, which is the only version of the “left” most people ever hear from. The rest of us are just normal people who care about our neighbors, regardless of political persuasion. I know that I care about my neighbors, and I know absolutely nothing about their politics. I know their names and their dog. I know they like salsa because my partner made a batch of salsa and gave them a portion, which they very much appreciated. I don’t think we’re as divided as it seems. I think the chattering class of complete weirdos who get all the attention makes it seem that way. View quoted note →
I disagreed with Charlie Kirk on just about everything. But, we shared an opposition to "gender identity" and the abolition of sex. He once had me on his show to discuss it. He was polite, outgoing, and funny. During the interview, I said something about the "TQIA." He exclaimed, "I don't know what any of that means!" I said, "Don't worry, nobody does." He and his entire audience laughed. I am not a Republican, and I am certainly not MAGA. But I am grieving his death in part because he was a human being, in part because he leaves behind a wife and two children, and in part because of what this says about American society. I will not take any part in any political violence, and I will stand with anyone, wherever they stand on the political spectrum, who will denounce it. I hope America can recover from this. #RIP EDIT: I will block anyone who comes on here to glorify violence.
Erin has been doing more “follow the money” research. This is an important thread. View quoted note →
