Seeing all these stories lately about Canadians and French getting hassled at the U.S. border—detained, interrogated, denied entry for dumb shit like having anti-Trump texts. And yeah, it’s fucked up. But let’s not act like this is new, or like it's just a U.S. thing. This has always been the game. Border cops on both sides have been fucking with political dissidents, journalists, and anyone who doesn’t fit the tidy nationalist mold for decades. Remember when Amy Goodman got stopped coming into Canada just 'cause they thought she might talk shit about the Olympics? Yeah, that’s Canada for you. I’ve been detained. My comrades have been detained. Phones searched. Bullshit questions. Border agents acting like the law don’t exist in that grey-zone limbo they control. And guess what? They’re kinda right. There’s no recourse. When you’re at the border, you’re at the mercy of a settler-colonial state that’s scared shitless of dissent. So yeah, be outraged—but don’t stop at the white liberal discomfort at the border. Save your biggest rage for the deportation machine, the genocidal siege on Gaza, and the cages filled with people just trying to survive. Borders are violence. Always have been. Here's a handy guide about how to deal with these situations if crossing into the US, but a lot of the info applies to Canada too!
I’m gonna keep repeating this as often as I have the energy — maybe every day — because it needs to be said. If you think this moment is gonna pass quickly, that things will “go back to normal,” you're fooling yourself. We're already deep in a slow-burning emergency, and it’s speeding up. Most people I talk to get that something’s wrong, but they’re not acting like time is short — and it is. So here's what I’m asking: Stay where you live, unless it's too dangerous. Get to know your neighbors. Figure out where your food will come from when the supply chains start wobbling. Protect your people. Practice good security culture. This isn’t panic. It’s preparation. It’s love. We look out for each other, or we don’t make it. I’ll drop some resources in the thread. Hang in there, and stay human image
80 #Tesla vehicles parked outside a Hamilton dealership were found with deep scratches, punctured tires and other damage https://www.thestar.com/business/dozens-of-tesla-vehicles-damaged-outside-hamilton-dealership-say-police/article_5247991f-46c4-5c0f-87ed-c96522ae29d0.html
They don’t want this film to exist. We just got refused for our first grant application. Not surprising. In Canada—and around the world—making films about #Palestine is treated as taboo. We knew going into this that it would be an uphill battle. Canadian institutions don’t want to fund projects that expose Israel’s genocidal violence. They want silence. They want compliance. But we’re not stopping. This film will be made. It’s becoming clear that "A Red Road to the West Bank" may have to be 100% crowdfunded. And that’s fine. Because we’d rather make this film on our own terms than bow to institutions that refuse to speak the truth. So we’re gearing up for more fundraisers, screenings, and community support. If you haven’t donated yet, or if you know someone who would stand behind a project like this, please share this link: They won’t fund our resistance. But we will. ✊🔥 #FreePalestine #RedRoadToTheWestBank #Decolonize #IndigenousSolidarity #FundResistance

#Musk’s empire is crumbling, and the streets are helping it along. Tesla’s stock has dropped 45% since December. But this ain't just some Wall Street blues—there’s a global movement making life hell for Musk’s little car cult. Showrooms torched. Charging stations wrecked. In February, 12 Teslas went up in flames at a dealership in France. Protests have hit #Tesla locations across the U.S., Europe, and beyond. People aren’t just mad—they’re taking action. Musk thought he could keep running his mouth, peddling greenwashed tech, and licking fascist boots without consequences. Turns out, people had other plans. Capitalism isn’t invincible. Even billionaire tech bros can get humbled. Keep watching. Keep fighting. https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/10/business/tesla-vandalism-protest-stock/index.html #TeslaTakedown
