ayyy couldn't kick off a new post for a while but i think it just started kicking
i’ve been feeling weird about a possible end of my profession. at least in its current form. i think it’s a bit hard to predict how smart these things can get. at the very least it’s making developing things much more accessible for folks outside the field. so it will *at least* change the landscape
saw asteroid city in cinema again. idk why people think it’s mid or unemotional. i felt like it’s full of emotion. it’s like a love letter to storytelling itself. like, what the fuck makes it tick?? we don’t know but sometimes it works
i think Discover actually already embeds “popular with friends” but this is why “popular with friends” segment is so bad right now. what Discover needs to do is to notice which friends’ likes i actually end up liking, and demote the rest in that segment RE:

fuck yeah. after years in limbo, SSR SuspenseList is coming. SSR support is most of what’s been holding it back from the release. iiuc the reason it got picked up now is because ViewTransitions SSR overlaps in implementation and adds extra constraints that narrows down the solution space.
