the hiphop genre section on soundcloud is not hiphop. I guess that's what it has morphed into... it should be called something else. if it's like that on there, it's probably like that everywhere in the mainstream world.
for me, it pollutes what hiphop actually is. that's what happens when corporate business kidnaps culture. they use it to influence billions of kids and teenagers. people who have depth will find the real sounds that harmonize their ears not only sonically, but also in the heart. that is what I don't hear in that fake world, there is no heart, no purpose, no depth in general. the good stuff is abundant for those who seek it. the mainstream is dead and soulless. the real lives underneath the surface... underneath the mind control...
