Israeli military estimates revealed a shortfall of at least 10,000 soldiers needed for the next phase of operations in the Gaza Strip, according to reports from Israeli Channel 12.
The channel further reported that the occupation army is also facing shortages of spare parts for some vehicles due to foreign companies boycotting "Israel," complicating the army's preparations for expanding its genocidal war on Gaza.
The planned offensive to occupy Gaza City presents a major challenge.
First, before the war, Gaza City had over 760,000 residents out of Gaza’s total 2.4 million population. During the 22-month Israeli war on the Strip, displaced Palestinians have sought shelter there.
Second, Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the occupation could cost "Israel" between $32 billion and $49 billion annually, with the Israeli Finance Ministry warning that this could push the budget deficit to 7%, risking a credit downgrade.
