We could keep our fractional system and switch to metric, just define a gallon as 4L. Then one quart is one liter and one cup is 250mL. A tablespoon would be 15.625mL (1/16 of one cup) and a tsp would be 5.21mL (1/3 of one tb). Very close to the current measurements. This would increase the gallon by 215mL Or set the gallon at 3.84L and then quart=960mL, cup=240mL, tb=15mL, and tsp=5mL. Basically what they already are but it should be standardized.
Amethyst is cool too
Just trying to configure a caddyfile I know that no matter how smart ai gets, it will never replace human coders. Maybe independent agents will be able to generate things of equal quality. But there is a communication problem. I think I’m too fucking stupid to tell the AI what I want. I guess this is why people hire additional developers. A clone of myself would be so helpful
I think I’m getting old. I just popped my knuckles with my hand next to my ear. The sound I heard before they cracked was NASTY… EUGH my own tendons getting stretched. Like an old zombie getting out of his grave 🤣🤣
It works, one compose file that includes searxng, ollama, openwebui, caddy, and valkey, and the search integration works in open web ui, AND you can use searxng directly. It should all be isolated pretty well, and at least searxng is behind the reverse proxy. Might be able to do better I need to make sure it’s all right and then I’ll rewrite my guide article. This is a million times easier. But I think I’ll have to finally get on GitHub
I finally got searxng running right. It’s way better than Google so far. I can’t get open web ui to communicate with it, and that’s my main goal with it…
For anyone confused, here’s why people use TikTok: 1. The algorithm. It responds to your preferences instantly on new accounts. It is probably very simple compared to algos like insta with ulterior motives. TikTok’s algorithm can be trained to show you anything afaik. The search integration is slick. 2. Long form vertical video. They DO NOT want six second videos. They use tiktok as vertical youtube. Most tiktoks are 30s to 5 minutes depending on the topic. And the search recommendations encourage you to deep dive on topics instead of scrolling to the next short. I spend dozens of minutes on individual topics before going to the home page again. 3. The livestreams. It’s like omegle x zoom. You can have some of the most enjoyable social experiences you will have on the internet. With micropayments analogous to sats, creators are making thousands of dollars per month with livestreams that have under 100 viewers. 4. Huge for creators: the video editor in app is extremely powerful. For many tasks, you simply don’t need a more capable editor. This should make it clear that something like DiVine isn’t even targeting the same audience. If you want to succeed in that market, you can’t act like a boomer.
