The ink dilated from the quill in its frenzied dance across the parchment as Thomas Jefferson wrote the words that would echo around the world for the next 247 years ,"...that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
He must have been in a complete state of flow as the words expressed themselves on the page. The words originated from a desire to create a prosperous and happy nation.
According to the World Happiness Report, which began publishing in April of 2012, there are six factors that define happiness: Income, health, having someone to count on, having a sense of freedom to make key life decisions, generosity, and the absence of corruption.
In other words a persons access to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness".
