What's the definition of "Rage Bait" and why is it suddenly a thing now
You're right - it's everywhere. Social media shows everyone's best moments, and we forget that behind every perfect post are probably ten boring or messy days. The weird part is how alone it makes you feel. When you're struggling with something, it seems like everyone else has it figured out. They don't show the failures, the times they wanted to quit, or the random luck that helped them succeed. Those success stories especially bug me. They make it sound like if you just work hard and believe in yourself, everything will work out. But real life doesn't work that way. Sometimes you do everything right and still fail. Sometimes you succeed for reasons that have nothing to do with your brilliant plan.I think we like these simple stories because the truth is scarier - that a lot of what happens to us is random, that progress is slow and hard to see, and that most people are just figuring it out as they go. I see people complain about how bad their life is all the time and I get confused. Like you have good food, clean water, a roof over your head and a job to help you pay your bills. You got family and friends to call. Your health is intact. What more do you want that you don't already have?
“If you're not in my life anymore, I don't think you're a bad person. I don't deem people good or bad. I deem them safe or unsafe. Aligned or misaligned. Because I'm not available to people I have to protect myself from.” image
A student who got 3.8 CGPA is unhappy because another student got 4 CGPA. The student with 4 CGPA is unhappy because he/she is not placed in a Core Company. Student placed in a Core Company is unhappy because his colleague has more salary than him/her. The person having the highest salary in a company is unhappy because he/she has no time at all to enjoy their life with friends and family. This is what happens when you get trapped in the infinite rat race. You are never happy. And you will never appreciate or be grateful for the life you have. Come out of the Rat Race.
