# What if I don't want videos of my hobby time available to the entire world? A new blogpost, pondering on something which has bugged me a bit recently. Not enough for me to make a fuss, but enough to be on my mind. #privacy #GDPR #hobby #blog
I sometimes miss the excitement and buzz I felt when a new device was coming out. Now, I still enjoy my computers and tinkering, but they feel "feature complete" to me. I am not looking forward to anything particular being released, or wondering when something will have a particular widget available for it. I sometimes miss that.
Help wanted, please! If you have *first hand experience* of improving the diversity of a governance board of (currently all men) volunteers, I'd love to hear how you went about it, or resources which helped you, please. What did you find helped make the role more attractive to a wider range of applicants to join? (This is in the context of a Free software project, but broader contexts are welcome.) #Diversity #inclusion #FOSS #FreeSoftware

# How hard is it to become an influencer? Three people with zero followers find out I found this interesting, simply from the perspective that the methodology was not to use social media to build a connection and engage with people, but rather to blat out "content" and hope for loads of clicks from strangers, as if the sheer number of clicks was the sole objective. I couldn't care less about the number of clicks on anything I post here. It is about the people.
