Was it just me or it was weird they ignored their surroundings after the lights turned-on? They didn't say anything about how big it was, or if they're in a spaceship. They didn't react how the walls are moving. Also, not even Spock speculated that the doors are "portals" and if they step through it something will definitely happen? Was the light, the background, the moving walls, all for the audience only? And the characters were only seeing a "room" and total darkness around them? And even if that is, why did Spock not say anything about the doorways? Not a theory? I expected him to at least say it's a portal. LOL. Did the special effects team mess things up? PNG is back!
After 20 years, PNG is back with renewed vigor! A new PNG spec was just released.
 I was hoping it dies a silent death in favour of #AVIF aed #WebP but I guess it is here to stay. For me, I'm excited about finally integrating #APNG (animated PNG) because that has been around for years! I even used APNG in my blog articles! (But only Firefox users can see it animateduntil this year. I can now see it animated in Blink-based and Chromium-based browsers in Android.) Here's a review I wrote back in 2015 where I used APNG:

I learned today that because of the strong Moral Rights protection in the #Philippines , it is not possible for Authors/Creators (defined as "natural persons" by law) to dedicate/release their work to the #PublicDomain . And even if we use 0BSD, MIT-0, CC0, and other similar public-domain-equivalent licenses, we can still sue anyone who: 1. Misused our name 2. Misrepresented us 3. Misused our work (downstream) All under Moral Rights because we can never waived it under Philippine law. Even with a promise not to sue anyone is not a guarantee. So, saying, "This work is under 0BSD/MIT-0/CC0 and I will never sue anyone for whatever reason", won't work under Philippine law. The Creator/Author will always have their Moral Rights as the creator/author of the work.
