If all goes well, #TimorLeste will officially join the #ASEAN as its 11th member. For grassroots: - 30 days visa-free entry across all 11 ASEAN members -- you can reset it twice by crossing to another ASEAN member for at least 24 hours, so that's 90 days total - more work opportunities for Timorians and the rest of ASEANs - easy exchange student processing - cultural exchanges - ASEAN jokes and memes πŸ˜‚ #Philippines #Indonesia #Singapore #Thailand #Malaysia #Laos #Lao #VietNam #Cambodia #Myanmar #Burma #Brunei
It's Cultural Appreciation, **not** cultural appropriation.
The #Philippines politics these days is like this: 1. National level: President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. versus Senator Imee Marcos - Imee is the eldest of the siblings - Bongbong is the youngest - children of former President Ferdinand Marcos 2. On the City level: Former Senator and now Makati Mayor, Nancy Binay versus former Makati District 2 Congresswoman and former Makati Mayor Abby Binay - Nancy is the eldest of the siblings - Abby is second of three - children of former Vice-President and former Makati Mayor Jejomar "Jojo" Binay πŸ˜…πŸ€·πŸ½ #PHpols @npub1uzqz...0g4k @philippines group #Pilipinas #Makati #Makatizen
I don't know how they're doing this quoted post via #Bridgy . (See attached image.) I tried quoting someone else's post and my own, but none worked. #Bluesky #Mastodon image
In this Wikipedia page, it noted that the #anime adaptation of #TheRisingOfTheShieldHero faced controversies because it depicted "false rape" & "slave trading" (a little girl at that) in E01 & E02. ❗ This is why you should WATCH FIRST before reacting ‼️ It is fiction and part of the underlying plot. Ironically, well actually not surprising at all, only North Americans failed those two important points mentioned. 🀷🏽 For point β„–1: It should've been very obvious and standard to watch first before reacting. For point β„–2: Go watch Biblical shows. Seriously, if you are onion-skinned, you shouldn't be watching anything but Biblical shows. In the real world, people understand that fiction is fiction, and a good story and world requires stuff that societies generally don't like. If only you watched first. 🀦🏽 Oh, and Japanese animΔ“shon is generally for matured and broad-minded audiences. If you think it's similar to American animΔ“shon, or should conform to your personal beliefs, you're watching the wrong animΔ“shon, look for Disney productions only. 😁
Just a heads up, I'm moving my @npub1xl2l...7286 to @npub1xl2l...7286 Unfortunately, something probably broke because I activated the "moved" option on Bookwyrm.social side then removed it after a few seconds (6 followers were already moved) because it turns out I can't use "export" once it's active. After I reactivated it, it won't continue moving the followers. What I'll do is wait 48 hours, turn it off, wait 48 hours again, turn it on again.
1. Everything that should happen already happened. 2. We are living in a "Block Multiverse". 3. There is no past, present, and future; there is only ***now***, it all exists simultaneously. 4. Now is relative. 5. Spacetime is inseparable. 6. Spacetime is relative. 7. Relative now + relative spacetime = our local relative reality. In other words, the relative now and relative spacetime of 8 billion Earthlings defines Earth's local relative reality. It becomes our collective (quantum) observation. 😁 #WIP #Fiction (or maybe not?)
What movie titles would've been funny if they continued the trend? Or, maybe the sub title? For example, there's a new "I Know What You Did Last Summer". I'm not sure if it's a reboot or a sequel, but if it is the latter, it should have been, "I Really, Really Still Know What You Did Last Summer". πŸ˜… Or, if not funny, it was creative? Like the 28 days franchise. @npub16fc7...qu0n
First, Jews accused a Filipino family in the US of being anti-Semitic just because they happened to have a vanity plate number that looked like the date for the attack. When they were proven wrong, the Jews never apologized for shaming, doxxing, & misinformation. Now this?! Israelis calling Filipinos "SLAVES"?! Treating Filipinos less than humans?! And the Embassy of Israel in the Philippines can't make a simple apology when they were first asked about it? How hard is it to apologize and assure that you don't condone it? Of all the sh*t you can say, it's "SLAVES"?! If Filipinos are turning their backs on you, it's all on you. You weren't content on doxxing and spreading false information against a Filipino family, now you come to "Lupang Hinirang" ("The Chosen Land") and call us "SLAVES"?! Many of you won't be alive today if we didn't shelter you.
