The funny thing is, so many rich and powerful people thought they were taking the safe path by keeping their heads down, by settling lawsuits with the administration, paying bribes, and publicly changing their political loyalties. Some of these people will insist in the coming days that they were simply trying to be a voice of reason from inside the Trump tent. Don't believe them. They sold their soul over to the devil.
