For 3 months now, Google News is pushing click-bait articles from unknown sites. The latest one "Say goodbye to 24 hours as scientists found the Earth's rotation…". I didn't bother to read because it's obviously the usual, "… increased by 1 minute".
Here in Pacific-Asia (not Asia-Pacific which includes Oceania), suspensions and impeachment are common. But only in CJK where you'll see them voluntarily step down, even if only temporary for the duration of the investigation. RE:
