Making a website work well in Mobile Safari feels to me *exactly* like making stuff work for IE6 was back in the day: Always some arbitrary behaviour, spending hours to restore normalcy, and the best case scenario is a nasty hack. Every time I publish a new essay something like this comes up, and this part of the process is always so unpleasant.
