Kids taught themselves all about reptiles through a genuine curiosity and desire to learn. They researched about what would be the best breed of snake for them, their habitat, diet, and home. They create little structures for her tank instead of buying them. All self taught AND remembered then put to use. All on their own. All under 10. The snake is still alive and thriving a year later. #Homeschooling allows my kids to sleep the appropriate amount of time, eat high quality foods for all of their meals, and time to be curious and creative during and outside of “school”. I’m sure you’ve seen similar posts by way too many people, but it’s because the impact of homeschooling is truly remarkable. At our holiday parties we noticed our kids were confidently engaged with conversations, listening, and asking thoughtful questions. I’m really proud of what I’m observing and hoping we’re doing it right. It feels right for our family If you have questions or want to get started with homeschooling please reach out. Homeschooling in December has been so nice. Slowing it down, taking time for slow starts and not feeling the rush to check so many things off the list. Kids are still learning just as much - not sure why this is only a “December” thing.
