Nine months before Rosa Parks, a 15-year-old Black child named Claudette Colvin was ordered to move to the back of the bus. She refused, was forcibly removed from the bus by police officers, whom she then assaulted in self-defense. Ms. Colvin was charged with violating segregation laws, and assaulting an officer. Yet she persisted in her fight as a lead plaintiff in a lawsuit to dismantle racial segregation. Her fight helped end Jim Crow laws. She has died at the age of 86. 😓 Rest in Power. ❤️✊🏽 image
CBS interviewed a 25-year police veteran who made it CLEAR that the killing of Renee Good was unlawful & unjustified under DHS policy. He explained that firing at a moving vehicle is tightly restricted & that Renee was driving away, not toward anyone, when shots were fired. CBS refused to air the interview. Just like they buried the CECOT episode. This is corporate media censorship protecting the Trump regime. I air the full interview & break it down in real time.
Across the U.S., people are rising up against ICE raids and state violence—and the risks are real. Peaceful protest is a constitutional right. But this Trump regime has made clear it will not respect that right when power is challenged. I wrote 13 Rules to Protect Yourself While Protesting to help you stay safe, protect one another, and show up with purpose and clarity as we defend our communities. Please read & share widely. Our safety depends on each other.
