BREAKING | Morocco has chosen Israel’s Elbit Systems as its main defense partner, further integrating Israeli weapons—battle-tested in Palestine—into its arsenal. A Muslim-majority Arab country, Morocco normalized ties with Israel through the Abraham Accords in December 2020. Morocco’s partnership with Elbit strengthens its military as it fights the Algeria-backed Polisario Front, which seeks independence for Western Sahara’s indigenous Sahrawi people. Rabat gains access to battlefield-tested drones, surveillance tech, and air defense systems—tools Israel has used extensively in its occupation of Palestine. https://bird.makeup/@naksbilal/1888608365745463468 image

Journalism Student Shot Dead in Occupied West Bank, Further Escalating Tensions Between PA and Resistance Report from Nida Ibrahim for Al Jazeera in Ramallah, Occupied West Bank: Shatha Sabbagh, a 21-year-old Palestinian journalism student, was killed while reporting from the Jenin refugee camp during armed clashes between Palestinian Authority (PA) forces and fighters from the camp. Sabbagh had been actively documenting conditions in the camp and sharing insights with Arab and international media. Her family accuses PA security forces, claiming the bullet that killed her could only have come from PA snipers. The PA denies involvement, with a spokesperson stating their forces were not present in the area where Sabbagh was killed. Her body has been taken for autopsy, and the family says they will file a lawsuit against the PA based on the findings. The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has called for an independent investigation into her killing. image
