Found a new web-based fediverse app that looks nice and supports MFM and Emoji. Works great with IceShrimp.NET. (thanks to JoinMastodon.org app listings) Edit: oh! It works with Hollo, too - I always forget that Hollo supports emoji reacts. #FediApps
I wouldn’t say this is 100% accurate but enjoy it for what it is.. a nerdy concept explained with meme cats. 🐱 #Caturday #oauth
You pronounce daemon as:
Fun fact (really). The Bonfire fediverse platform allows each **individual user** the ability to upload their own set of custom emojis. There seems to be no limit to how many, tho I'm sure there will have to be as it gets more popular. And it will. Looking snazzy! #Bonfire #Fediverse image
Lots of talk about Ghost today, and rightly so, but don’t forget that a little open source framework @npub1tlfg...wz08 made the ActivityPub plugin possible. Support open source! #ActivityPub #FediDev
I like the concept of personally curated account collections from @Surf, @npub1whag...fj2r Tapestry and @npub1dadl...y568 Channels. Surf app has a fun interface and some excellent filtering tools. Channels lets you stay in your comfy app of choice and get boosted posts in your existing timeline. Tapestry has an enjoyable interface, and extremely customizable. A bit of a different beast - you build your own timelines, from just about any feed you can imagine!
How many parked (unused) domains do you own? I have an idea and want to know if my assumption is correct. Boost generously, please.
I've made a @npub142g8...kmy5 channel for Fediverse Development updates. It only contains official platform accounts to keep the feed focused. I plan to add RSS feeds of repository activity for those platforms that do not have official accounts. Hint - create a new Mastodon List called "Fediverse Platforms", then check the "Hide from Home/Following timelines" option. Add @npub1jlct...n5rg to the list. Now you have your own personal feed of Fedi Dev news you can check on when you're ready! @npub1jlct...n5rg
Mastodon's latest version has the ability to fetch missing replies from a conversation (under an experimental flag, not enabled by default). This is a big deal, especially for smaller instances. Mastodon joins other platforms - of which I know of: Streams, GoToSocial, IceShrimp.NET and Bonfire - that pull back replies on request. The hard work on the backend is done, and now there needs to be a discussion about how this interaction works as part of the user experience. #Mastodon #Fediverse
