CONTEXT: Parise Larry, who was just 14 at the time of the shooting, attempted to apologize in court before being sentenced. Larry and then-17-year-old Antonio Johnson were convicted of killing 20-year-old Tatyanna Zech, who was shot in the back of the head while taking out the trash. An 18-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man were also wounded in the attack. Chaos erupted during Larry’s sentencing when a fight broke out in the courtroom, resulting in multiple arrests. Both Larry and Johnson were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
