For the SSDI Blue Book playing cards deck I can either design a custom cardstock tuck box, as I did for the Gender Wars cards, OR I could package them in these clear hard plastic cases. Visible inside would be the deck, card back on one side and a "label card" on the other. Which would be preferable?
Which cardback color scheme is the best? A, B, C or D?
Holy shit this is quite a performance. The Ink Spots, 1955. https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=YE_qg8JSLk4
I have made "ginger syrup" by adding fresh ginger slices to the water and sugar and boiling together. That's how recipes tell you to make it, and it's meh. Today I juiced about a pound of fresh ginger with a lemon, a lime and 2 apples, then added a few cups of sugar to the resulting juice and boiled it together, along with zest from the lime. Then I skimmed off the foam and strained it. Holy lord Jesus this is the spiciest best ginger syrup ever. OMG. Advice for anyone interested in mocktails, or cocktails, or any culinary adventure really: get a good juicer. It opens a world of possibilities in the kitchen. image
I spent days preparing for my Mocktail Party, tidying the house, buying about 50 pounds of fresh produce, making syrups and mixers, cleaning and prepping the juiceables, juicing about 2 gallons of assorted deliciousness, making fruit spear garnishes, etc.. Then the moment arrived and for 3 hours my house was transformed, packed with people and conversations. Then it was over, like a tornado blew through, and I spent hours cleaning up and have more cleaning to do this morning, including vacuuming up the copious crumbs and putting the furniture back in place. I’m like, what the hell was that? What? George the cat had a marvelous time, thriving on attention and stimulation. Ira had a “paper bag incident” I didn’t personally witness; apparently he got his head stuck in a bag and ran around blind and freaking out, after which he hid until everyone left. I fear this will leave him afraid of parties forever.
