5 September 1935 | Dutch Jewish girl, Marlene Jacobs, was born in Enschede. She was deported to #Auschwitz from #Westerbork in February 1943. She was murdered in a gas chamber after selection.

5 September 1938 | A Polish Jewish boy, Jchiel Bela Tiszman, was born in Płońsk. In 1942 he was deported from the ghetto in Płońsk to #Auschwitz. He was murdered in a gas chamber.

5 September 1891 | A Polish woman, Stefania Palczewska, was born in Czaniec. A teacher. In #Auschwitz from 29 January 1943. No 32395 In 1945 she was evacuated to KL Ravensbrück and liberated there.

5 September 1932 | A Dutch Jewish boy, David Ossendrijver, was born in Rotterdam. He arrived at #Auschwitz on 7 April 1944 in a transport of 240 Jews deported from #Westerbork. He was among 111 of them murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

5 September 1881 | Italian Jew, Tito Finzi, was born in Milan. He was deported to #Auschwitz from Fossoli camp on 5 April 1944. He was murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection.

5 September 1895 | A German Jew, Leo Lowenthal, was born in Berlin. On 3 March 1943 he was deported to #Auschwitz. He did not survive.

4 September 1891 | Czech Jew, Pavel Gerstl, was born in Prague. He was deported from Theresienstadt ghetto to #Auschwitz on 1 October 1944. He was murdered in a gas chamber after selection.

4 September 1921 | Alexander Kryutchkov was born. A Soviet army soldier. In #Auschwitz from October 1941. No. R-4167 (Soviet prisoners of war) He perished in the camp on 30 December 1941.

4 September 1888 | A Russian Jew, Salomon Gratch, was born in Rovne. He emigrated to France. In June 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz. He did not survive.
