using these room mate sharing apps makes me question whether an average software engineer really has an IQ over 100 ... for example when looking for a renter i can select "non smoking" but it doesn't apply to the renter being non-smoker - it applies to renter requiring ME to be a non smoker ... but why do i care if the renter requires me to be non smoker or not ? i don't smoke. but i don't need a renter who specifically REQUIRES me to not smoke. get it ? i am OK with a renter who doesn't smoke and is OK with me not smoking but doesn't require me to be non smoking.
