I forgot that I also have to take care of the entire family without exception—from the apartment rent to my brother's engineering tuition, my own university fees, and our food costs. I recently watched a video of a #journalist asking a young girl in #gaza abt her dreams. She described how her dreams are distorted; dreams of nothing but shelling, destruction, fear,& #horror Oh my girl! Even those of us older than u have lost control,& we dream of nothing but pain. Yesterday, I woke up feeling dizzy after struggling for my life in a dream. Our place had been bombed, I felt myself dying, my body going numb. I couldn’t catch my breath till I woke up #genocide #palestine

I wish my life could go back to how it was before the #genocide ." You will hear this sentence from every #gazan even those who were poor before the war. At least they weren't living on sidewalks or inside tents; there was never a poor person living in a tent. Everyone was sheltered from the cold. I am surprised by people who ask, "How is he Gazan and yet has a laptop or a modern device?" It is because we weren't being subjected to a genocide then; we were living a life just like yours. #gaza

Good evening, friends. Today, I was with @npub122z0...s4xy . I nagged him quite a bit to take me& show me his work as a #journalist on the ground. It seemed truly exhausting, both physically & psychologically. He filmed cases of orphaned children documenting and sharing their suffering, what they wish for the world to achieve for them in the New Year, & how they long for a single roof to shield them from rain. I’ve come to realize that journalists truly face a great deal here in #gaza #palestine

If the world still cares While the world moves on, we remain awake, haunted by the relentless sounds of shelling & explosions. These acts are being carried out under the guise of "demolishing buildings for urban expansion" & "reconstruction plans." Last night was particularly brutal. The heavy bombardment drowned out everything except for the piercing screams of children living in tents surrounding the tower. No "development plan" should ever come at the cost of human terror. #gaza #genocide
