Ok so continuing with Taildrive, I’ve mounted my PDS folder on iOS… …and all the blocks are properly detected as images! https://morel.us-east.host.bsky.network/xrpc/com.atproto.sync.getBlob?did=did:plc:2cxgdrgtsmrbqnjkwyplmp43&cid=bafkreic6qeba3rkyhbx6pwv3hpvl7lnqvkkhsq4cogxzvhwwlvpwn6bt4i https://morel.us-east.host.bsky.network/xrpc/com.atproto.sync.getBlob?did=did:plc:2cxgdrgtsmrbqnjkwyplmp43&cid=bafkreihbr3xe2gji7v3si7j64befpqkf7xtzxihlqqp6hfk7dcowutmz6m
The main [Ouranos]( ) build now supports third-party data types (called Lexicons in #atproto) -- Frontpage links, LinkAt linktree-like pages, and WhtWnd blogs. [@smokesignal.events]( ) is on deck after some Lexicon fixes. Just the beginning of seeing what apps can evolve here. RE:
I feel like some people are asking, “how do I build something with 13M accounts” With a protocol approach, you get to start with 13M accounts that are compatible with your new thing. Making something people want to use & figuring out how to fund your time & infrastructure costs is hard as ever.
With a core protocol that supports different data types, we can see many people be successful building different kinds of apps, and then different kinds of clients that remix those data types. Plus: per country / language / culture variants that can be huge in their own right. RE: View quoted note →
