The more honest nodes, the better. Bitcoin needs many geographically-distributed nodes to ensure decentralization and censorship resistance. Anything that makes running a node more difficult should be a non-starter.
Currently thanks to Bitcoin Core, nodes are being abused - forcing them to store spam and possible CSAM - which increases network centralization and adds legal risk into the bargain. RDTS/BIP444 fixes this data storage 'bug'. Is this big picture argument really so hard to follow?

Morning :) Here's your occasional reminder that 'X' censors content, removes likes from posts and limits the reach of its users. X is not what it appears to be. If it's on your screen, the platform is allowing you to see it. It's only software and can be programmed
The prospective BIP 444 is a defensive move which was initiated by core going rogue and releasing v30 despite huge USER pushback. Nothing more - nothing less. Activate the users and you'll get to see users activating a soft fork
Just a quick reminder Musk's platform is just a software tool designed to control the flow of information. Don't think that because you can post there that anyone will get to read your thoughts and opinions. X is designed to make you think you are reaching a new audience. You are'nt

Adding jpegs to monetary transactions adds spam to the money in your pocket. Somebody's dirty washing is not in your pocket at the moment and it shouldn't be there in the future either. Satoshi was right, this is an accident waiting to happen image
Core's updates - now even in multiple older versions - allow for large arbitrary data including child abuse jpegs from landing onchain => Legal Risk. No core - no problem
