OK it's a wrap! the MNT Reform Next crowdfunding campaign is _done_! this was such a wild ride, and honestly more successful than i imagined. i greatly appreciate the trust you put in my team and me. i'm looking forward to get this computer ready for production and ultimately into your hands!

only 23 hours left to back our open hardware laptop MNT Reform Next
only two days left for getting in early on the MNT Reform Next open hardware laptop:
FYI #fosdem #fosdem2025 my colleague @npub12gl2...frt9 will only be in later today, but earlier tomorrow, because of delays at brussels airport. in case you're wondering where to see the MNT Reform Next prototype. cc [@nlnet]( ) @David Llewellyn-Jones @Liaizon Wakest
hey i wrote (actually mostly recorded) a new update post for the MNT Reform Next crowdfunding campaign, check it out: this one is about running "big" desktop environments like GNOME 47 on the MNT Reform Next. at the end of the article there's a 3 minute raw unfiltered video of how that turned out:
news regarding MNT presence at FOSDEM: my colleague greta (@npub12gl2...frt9) will visit FOSDEM on saturday afternoon and sunday, and will have the MNT Reform Next proto with her. also, @Liaizon Wakest will be at OFFDEM, although not mainly in a MNT function. #fosdem
listening to some music on tangara hooked up directly to active speakers this morning (abacus). there's zero audible noise, even while charging, nice. i held the sd card wrong when dumping my music on it i think, so far i can select only single tracks using the file browser (it didn't auto populate a db with artist/album/track). probably i should read the manual first!
lol, intel is copying our split motherboard (the design was inspired in part by @Timon 🛠's "damn linux tablet" though. ideas are rarely born from vacuum)
