Just a regular pleb living in a fiat world. Doing everything I can to change that.
Ok - east coast and gulf dock workers have begun a significant strike. Iβve read a lot about it the last few days, and I am not going to claim to be an expert by any means. However, the one thing I have not yet seen or read; why havenβt the west coast dock workers jumped in on the action as well? I feel like @Lyn Alden probably has a reasonable and sensible explanation.
Just finished watching the latest @THE Bitcoin Podcast show with @Efrat Fenigson - wow! Not only is she an amazing woman with deep insights into how the world works - all while Tel Aviv was being attacked during their interview in real time.
Keep up the good work yβall!

I love using Strike and my built in Strike LN wallet. I have been exploring using Alby and other self-custodial LN tools to work with NWC and Stacker News, for example, as well as Nostr of course.
While we would probably all agree that self-custodial is the way to go, long term, that putting a small amount of trust in a 3rd party like Strike is also probably just fine as well. I fund all my LN apps with my Strike LN wallet - but I'd also like to be able to use LNauth and other cool tools on the LN that seem to be reserved for self custodial wallets only.
Will Strike consider enabling these capabilities directly with their Strike.me LN address? I think short term this will help with adoption for Nostr and related apps (Strike users can now tap into the ecosystem without the burden of having to run a node and DIY all alone) and in the long term, as the LN and Nostr related integrations become more capable and less technical, people will migrate towards their own self-custodial solution.
I know I will eventually go that route, but not until I am ready and the ecosystem is a little more user friendly.
What say you? Is this something that is already on your radar?
