Being forced by the most annoying teacher in your school to let a boy use the girls room is more disturbingly Orwellian than anything the vast majority of people over the age of 25 have experienced. It's happened to tens of millions young people under 21. Far from being an abstract culture war that nobody cares about, it's perhaps the most palpable experience of despotic authority that most young people have undergone in their lives.

A children's hospital advertising "gender-affirming hysterectomies." Everyone at this children's hospital, one of the most prestigious in America, lived in an echo chamber where all of this was laudable, joyous, and inspiring. Most of institutional America, including most of its Blue State elementary schools, are still working tirelessly to make this echo chamber encompass the whole world.

We know that at least a thousand teenage girls had their breasts removed in order to affirm them in the delusion that they are boys in every year between 2017-2023. We know that the Biden Administration's Assistant Secretary of Health, Rachel Levine, intervened in the formation of the WPATH Standard of Care 8 to pressure the organization to remove any age guidelines on any gender procedure, including surgeries. We know that every girl to whom this was done was grievously and irreversibly harmed -- the ones still in the clutches of the bizarre cult belief that cutting off their breasts turned them into boys even more so than the ones who eventually realized it had all been a monstrous scam in which they were used as pawns of a power-seeking social movement. We know that the Biden Administration issued a weak disavowal of its tireless efforts to propagate any gender procedure on anyone of any age as widely as possible toward the end of his term with a terse statement claiming they didn't support gender surgeries on minors. We know that the transgender movement is propagandizing millions of children from the earliest age to believe that any of them can change sex, thus setting up a vulnerable fraction of them for the eventual infliction of the ultimate sexual violence on themselves. We know that the propagation of this cycle is a key priority for public funding and public mandates at every level of government for Democratic party elected officials, and that they loudly broadcast their will to defy federal mandates seeking to end this mania. We know that this happened because of institutional capture more complete than has ever been enacted by a social movement across America's educational, medical, cultural, legal, and social welfare agencies. We know it happened because of the moral and intellectual mediocrity of its bourgeoisie -- its incuriosity and indifference to truth, its unwillingness to listen or learn or care about the actual consequences of its actions, its willingness to amputate its humanity in the service of personal comfort, its willingness to collude in absurdities and cruelties inflicted on the most vulnerable among us so as long as they were marketed as inclusive. Yes, I was radicalized by TERF's. Obstreperous women coming into the mentions of myself and others relentlessly repeating stock phrases such as "a woman is not a castrated man," eventually made me realize that when you touch grass and wake up from the relentless ideological programming, what they are saying is 100 percent true without qualification, that these facts are decisive and resolve every question while refraining from recognizing them as true without qualification hands victory to the other, wrong side. It's my goal to do for others what was done for me.
The idea that this useless gruel is seen as bold and risky underscores how lost the Democrats are on this issue.
