Ok UI quirk in Bluesky for video I’m now thinking about: Captions tend to be in the bottom or top of videos but the cropping on portrait tends to crop those areas for the square shape that autoplays without audio. I have to remember to turn down my phone first in order to watch these silently.

This is something I have started seeing as a problem in other opensource projects. It's why I'm starting to look for OpenCollective & Github sponsorship type links prominently assoc w/ projects as an indicator of sustainability. And I do think Bluesky/Atproto needs better focus on this too. RE:
