I had 19 minutes of sleep before the power went out and it’s been collecting firewood, building and tending the fire ever since.

Annnnd now it’s raining … and the snow is still out there … I feel like the next hour as the sun really goes down is going to determine if we are ice or snow?

I looked out front and someone I can’t identify (might be a neighbor I rarely see with a hat on) is snow-blowing our driveway? I think the neighbors were over prepared for snow and may have bought new toys?

Checked the firewood & collected some twigs just in case we have to use the fireplace (which is clean so we won't have a chimney fire.) While we were out there though ran into the neighbor who has a new whole house generator & they have a spare room we're welcome to if needed (including the cat.)

I spent 3+ hours making food yesterday that’s fully cooked and can be thawed or reheated in case the electricity goes out with the impending winter storm. If the power stays on, I guess I just meal prepped. Now back to regularly scheduled programming.
