If the cypherpunks,David Chum,Wei Dai questioned the role of privacy and freedom in the digital world,who are we not to question it now in 2026? We will not stop till masses understand the importance of decentralization starting with decentralized money to decentralized social media platforms.

We can't also talk about Bitcoin prehistory without mentioning David Chaum,who in the 1980s tried to introduce anonymous electronic money called DigiCash that unfortunately never boomed.

So in the 1980s and 1990s a group of people began to question the role of privacy and freedom in the digital world. They thought that cryptography was a tool to protecting individual rights from institutions or governments. This group of people among other series of social movements, is the most and important movement that led to the creation of what we are enjoying now called Bitcoin Technology.

I support several children both girls and boys here in Malawi. Tomorrow they are starting their second term of school. We are grateful that government schools, from primary to secondary, are free. However, we still face challenges in providing essential school materials such as notebooks, textbooks, shoes, and school bags. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference in helping these children learn with dignity and confidence. There is no way governments should talk about freedom of speech encouraging girls,boys, women, men, and the less privileged to speak up without including YakiHonne in that conversation. As long as we rely on centralized platforms, we will continue facing the same problem: real voices, real facts, and real freedom being filtered and reshaped to fit existing systems.
