Following Hamas providing the burial information to mediators, the Israeli occupation army began an operation to recover the last remains of soldier Ran Gweili from a cemetery in northern Gaza.
Images circulated by Israeli figures show bulldozers excavating the cemetery tombs, with dozens of blue plastic bags used for Palestinian bodies visible at the site.
Within 48 hours of receiving the information, the body was identified. In the process, however, Israeli forces desecrated nearly 250 Palestinian bodies to find the remains, scattering them across the cemetery.
There is no information on whether the bodies were reburied or if some were taken, as the site is adjacent to the so-called ceasefire 'yellow line,' where Israeli tanks advanced and forced hundreds of displaced Palestinians to leave the area.
