The wife of physician Adnan Al-Barsh, has honeas tortured to death in Israeli prisons, has appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross to secure the return of her husband’s body, which has been held by Israel for more than a year and a half.
She said the prolonged detention has denied the family the right to a final farewell and a dignified burial, calling on international humanitarian organizations to intervene and uphold basic human and moral principles.
Al-Bursh is among other 87 Palestinians who succumbed to severe torture in prison since the war started.
