The Israeli government decided to extend the ban on Al Jazeera operations and keep its offices in occupied Palestine closed for an additional 90 days, as part of ongoing measures taken against the network since the start of the war on Gaza. The decision was signed by Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi, based on a law that allows the banning of foreign media outlets on the grounds of threatening national security. The legislation includes prohibiting broadcasting companies, internet service providers, and digital platforms such as YouTube from offering services to Al Jazeera.
