**Can’t connect to public WiFi via Linux** I am using Fedora 42, and I am unable to access the captive portal of inOui TGV. I can connect to the WiFi with no problems, but I can’t get access to the Internet. I have tried **everything**:<li>Connecting to <code>192.168.1.1</code>, to <code>http://http.dev</code>, to <code>http://wifi.sncf</code> via browser</li><li>Running <code>sudo dhclient -r</code> and rebooting the device</li><li>Running <code>systemctl restart NetworkManager</code></li><li>Also other stuff I tried in the past with other public WiFis. Does anyone here have information about the status of **Matrix-WhatsApp bridging/interoperability?** (Maybe @The Matrix.org Foundation?) 🤔 Ads coming to WhatsApp is making me much more frustrated than I already was. I haven’t been updating the app since the introduction of Meta AI, but now WhatsApp is demanding that I update within 15 days or I won’t be able to use the app anymore. So, the time has come: I have **two weeks to backup and quit WhatsApp for good**. Since I’m here: could I also ask for your advice for local-only, **not cloud**, software that can **backup ALL my #WhatsApp chats** and store them locally in a browsable format/database?
