I hate the fact that I'll be buying RAM soon. Why? I want to build a SteamOS maschine and have everything else here, including SSD and whatnot. So this will suck, hardcore. But hell, I am not planning to buy any new hardware for a few years after my homelab is done.
I ruined my fingies fenagling stuff into 1U cases last night, I am already onto getting small things (risers, adapters, cables) to patch up the few missing bits.
The big SSD/HDD buys for the new NAS, RAM for my PC upgrade and SteamOS maschine, a >8xRJ45 10G switch and a WiFi AP. Those are all thats left.
Man I hate how depressing the tech enthusiast space generally is now. Fuck NVIDIA and OpenAI, seriously... x.x
