The review of this new Black Metal album is something different. Metal fans really are the most well read: "The poetry of Ovid, the thought of Nietzsche, Evola, and Mircea Eliade resonate throughout the work, interwoven in a dense and provocative tapestry, in keeping with the project's guiding principle: to examine modern decadence and distill from it a radical voice...engaging in dialogue with figures such as Ernst Jünger, Hermann Hesse, Jean Cau, and @DavidEngels12, the album is an ode to his continent of origin: Europe, which he chooses to rename Hesperia, as the ancients did." I think Evola has a long history of inspiring musicians but Jean Cau and David Engels? That must surely be a first. https://hell.twtr.plus/media/c4a0d2c675fb09c6a4e0793c341462ab25bd4dd5d138d3a37c77493a2a34df42.file https://hell.twtr.plus/media/afc1d581701c8de4fa25c0eda523855796d0b4b8b2176b9b8db81813d238bbe0.file

Hôtel-Dieu de Lyon, a Catholic 12th century hostel and sanctuary for the poor and sick, instituted as a proper hospital for the needy in 1452 and given its present grand appearance under Louis XIII and XIV in the 17-18th centuries. Ceased operations in 2010. Not a bad run. https://hell.twtr.plus/media/c7ebe21a9f8e5a9ed9824ef32590f4f334044334d3b87f3caa8687453486c585.file https://hell.twtr.plus/media/3d090212f72eca2a22deda655663216cdd2c78f6c956cbc5c60a37970f3293e0.file https://hell.twtr.plus/media/b7503eb66fb0d227a3f43ba99bab3dcaba81ebfc18936421077b868eec869889.file https://hell.twtr.plus/media/114ee16ff1ec3b7f49f217d97ca9a14e0aeea068bae8710ccf0d2b7d206da580.file
"[they say] that now the winters are longer and more snow falls, presenting as proof the fact that the mountains once had been inhabited and bore crops, both grain and fruit-tree, the land having been planted and cultivated. For there are vast plains among the Idaean mountains and among others, none of which are farmed now because they do not bear (crops). But once, as was said, they were in fact settled, for which reason indeed the island was full of people, as heavy rains occurred at that time, whereas much snow and wintery weather did not occur." — Theoprastus of Eresus, 372-282 B.C.
Dear Lord what are they going to do now. Zone Zero is complete nonsense.

Built in 2017, the tallest unreinforced rammed earth wall in the world, in the home of Belgian architect Peter Van Impe. Finally an architect with skin in the game! 15m tall maybe 45cm thick? Great photos of how it was built. https://hell.twtr.plus/media/56f911d1e2983dd7ea92cbf1e8b73f2777834d8772e56ea1acae39ea56bfbac0.file https://hell.twtr.plus/media/1b16e03074c75a7282e15381b5271ab2e54b4c9f096d17478637794824d4828c.file
The Ricovero di Mendictà (Shelter for the Poor) was built in 1861 in Bologna, Italy, to house and treat 600 beggars, sick, homeless, of all ages. It was a consolidation of several medieval and more modern services for the indignant poor and sick and a response to increasing urban poverty in the wake of industrialization. It was funded by the shelter's own economic activites (agriculture and crafts), donations from the church, nobles, charitable funds and the city government itself. Brick, stone and timber construction. https://hell.twtr.plus/media/bd83d80fde5703a02e44e8ca352c833b7a6f735351ada30e8b84c49c42237116.file https://hell.twtr.plus/media/2bbabac506cbee1ba4872e421322ff06595837baea8f93dbef33e10349c3def1.file https://hell.twtr.plus/media/a390109520567ebb3b8d36f84f2e21e5c96781c5c2a0a5591f237993b9865624.file
