The review of this new Black Metal album is something different. Metal fans really are the most well read: "The poetry of Ovid, the thought of Nietzsche, Evola, and Mircea Eliade resonate throughout the work, interwoven in a dense and provocative tapestry, in keeping with the project's guiding principle: to examine modern decadence and distill from it a radical voice...engaging in dialogue with figures such as Ernst Jünger, Hermann Hesse, Jean Cau, and @DavidEngels12, the album is an ode to his continent of origin: Europe, which he chooses to rename Hesperia, as the ancients did." I think Evola has a long history of inspiring musicians but Jean Cau and David Engels? That must surely be a first.
