🚨Israel just blew up Gaza's only cancer hospital (the Joker style). The IDF has been occupying this hospital for over a year, using it as a military post, & now shamelessly claims it was a "Hamas compound" How can any sane person trust Israel when they always lie so blatantly?

Paradoxically, if Hamas surrenders & dismantles itself, Israel will become more entrenched & violent in Gaza; will occupy it indefinitely, move in settlers, kick out Gazans… “But.. but Germany & Japan surrendered & things went well” Neither of those faced settler colonialism!Neither were facing dispossession, displacement, replacement, ethnic cleansing… The US gave Germany over $1.4 billion (equivalent of 24.7 billion today) for reconstruction in the Marshall plan after its surrender. Japan also got billions in loans, aid, food… Israel NEVER gave Palestinians a penny & it’s entirely unimaginable they’d ever do; with or without Hamas’ surrender.. in fact, Israel has always stood in path of & actively prevented the reconstruction of Gaza by foreign donors. That’s because the essence of Israel’s problem with the Palestinians isn’t about “de-radicalization”, hatred, antisemitism, or a “cycle of violence”. Israel’s problem is the mere existence of Palestinians on this land. They want us all out & that dispossession & displacement that’s “inbuilt & inevitable in Zionism” has always been the chief motor for Palestinian resistance, by admission of Israel’s chief historian Benny Morris So again, when folks say “why don’t Hamas just surrender?” They should first answer the question “what are the terms of surrender?” Will Israel end the occupation/siege after? Give Palestinians a state on 22% of historic Palestine? Give Palestinians equal right? Witkoff then came to Doha with a "bridging proposal" with 4 principles: 1- Releasing 5 living Israelis on the 1st day 2- Extending phase 1 of the ceasefire by 50 days during which negotiations on phase 2 (i.e. permanent ceasefire, IDF withdrawal from Gaza) would start 3- Resuming the humanitarian protocol & work of UN agencies in Gaza 4- Mediators (US, Egypt, Qatar) guarantee that Phase 2 negotiations will happen on ending the war Hamas' initial response was in 4 points: 1- Releasing the 5 Israeli-US captives on the 1st day (1 living, 4 bodies) 2- Phase 2 negotiations should start as immediate as the 5 captives are released 3- Demanding clarifications on what resuming the humanitarian protocol means; e.g. does it include allowing caravans, bulldozers & trucks into Gaza as stipulated in the agreement but never fulfilled by Israel? 4- Demanding Israel fulfils the remaining parts of phase 1; i.e. IDF withdrawal from the Philadelphia corridor between Rafah & Egypt & removing checkpoints in the Netzarim corridor Israel's response was: 1- Demand release of 11 captives & 16 bodies on the first day without any guarantees on ending the war 2- Offering to release in return 10 Palestinian heavily sentenced prisoners for each living captive, 10 Palestinian bodies for each dead captive & 1,000 Gazan hostages kidnapped after Oct 7 (in phase 1, Israel released 50 Palestinians for each living hostage). 3- Limiting the extension of phase 1 to 40 days instead of 50 4- Demanding restrictions on the distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza to be implemented by the mediators 5- Nothing on Philadelphia/Netzarm withdrawal, entry of caravans & bulldozers...etc. Witkoff left Doha to Russia & gave Hamas a deadline to present their final answer to his proposal Israel now resumed the war before that deadline!

I met Rami Aman in Egypt last year, whom Israel had (for propaganda purposes) made him into a “peace icon” when Hamas arrested him in 2020 I asked how Israel treated him after, he said they rejected his every permit petition to cross to the West Bank or Israel even for a visit He also said they had offered him a platform after Oct 7 to condemn & blame Hamas. He refused in the midst of genocide & said “Israel’s gov will exploit my criticism of Hamas to justify a war that could kill my own family any minute, & I’d have my family’s blood on my hands”. When he rejected, they instantly called him “Hamas”, “r@pe denier”… Not sure why he agreed to speak to channel 12 now, perhaps having moved to Germany & requested asylum there put pressure on him (e.g. I know the German gov has tried to blackmail some Gazans in Egypt for intel in return for visas) , or perhaps the interviewer tricked him about the purpose of the interview… But it was clear to me that he understood back then Israelis only “liked” him when he was a tool in their hand used for propaganda, & even then, they still prevented him from leaving Gaza b/c of unstated non-existent “security concerns”! Israel has always treated with utmost contempt the very Palestinians they exploit for collaboration or PR
