🚨Israeli officials explain why the hostages released on Saturday were emaciated:
After the Nuseirat massacre, in which the IDF butchered 276 Gazans indiscriminately during a rescue op of 4 hostages, Hamas tightened the security around the remaining captives, hid them in tunnels where it became practically "difficult to get them food for a long time" out of fear of compromising their whereabouts.
Netanyahu knew this would happen, but didn't care & played "reality TV at the expense of the hostages."
Israeli officials reiterate that Netanyahu was "sabotaging the possibility of making a comprehensive deal for everyone" & that military operations would only rescue a few hostages while putting the rest in grave danger.
Hostages were previously held in Hamas safe houses above the ground, until the Nuseirat massacre, when the IDF entered the area disguised in a humanitarian aid truck, opened fire indiscriminately at civilian crowds on their way out, & used Biden's "Humanitarian Pier" to evacuate the soldiers & hostages.
After the ceasefire went into effect, released Israeli captives said they received more food & "high-calorie, protein-rich meals" & were allowed "to shower more, literally once a day in the days before [their release]".
"[Hamas] even made sure to arrange the female soldiers' hair & braid it," a military source said.
PS. Taking civilians hostage is a war crime, including Israel kidnapping over 10,000 Palestinians since Oct 7 without charge, trial, evidence or suspicion, & holding them since in torture camps as "bargaining chips".
